Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
What is NOW Foods Myrrh Essential Oil?
NOW Foods Myrrh Essential Oil is a 30 ml bottle of 100% pure myrrh oil, steam-distilled from the plant's oleoresin-gum and imported from the United States. Its aroma is musky and warm, and the label describes it as focusing, centering and meditative.
What does the myrrh label disclose?
The label discloses 100% pure Commiphora myrrha oil, steam distilled from the plant's oleoresin-gum, with a musky, warm aroma and focusing, centering, meditative attributes. (Source: current product label and NOW Foods product page, checked 2026-11-07.)
Who is the myrrh oil suitable for?
Adults who appreciate musky, warm resin oil and plan to diffuse it or use it diluted on the skin are the intended users. Pregnant or lactating people, those with sensitive skin and anyone with a health concern should ask a practitioner first.
How is the 30 ml myrrh bottle used?
Diffuse the musky myrrh oil for aromatherapy, and for any other use dilute it first in a carrier such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive or almond oil, checking a professional reference for the ratio. The label marks it not for internal use.
What does the label warn about myrrh oil?
Keep it out of reach of children, avoid contact with eyes, and consult a practitioner before use if pregnant or lactating. The label marks it not for internal use and notes that natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care. This product is for topical or aromatic use. It is not a medicine and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
How should the 30 ml myrrh bottle be stored?
Cap the bottle immediately after use so the resin-derived oil does not oxidise, and keep it at room temperature in the original glass bottle, away from cabinets above stovetops, direct sun and bathrooms.
What does the label pair myrrh oil with?
The label lists frankincense oil, patchouli oil and a sandalwood oil blend as suitable partners; dilute every oil in any skin blend with a carrier first.
