Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
What is Now Foods Grapefruit Essential Oil 118ml?
It is the large 118ml bottle of 100% pure grapefruit essential oil, imported from the United States. The label identifies the botanical Citrus paradisi and says the oil is cold pressed from fresh fruit peel, giving a sweet citrus aroma labelled purifying, cheerful and uplifting.
What composition and aroma does the printed label describe?
The label's ingredient line confirms that the bottle holds only 100% pure grapefruit oil, with Citrus paradisi as the printed botanical name. It reports cold pressing from fresh fruit peel and a sweet, citrus aroma carrying purifying, cheerful and uplifting attributes. (Source: current product label and NOW Foods product page, checked 2026-11-07.)
Who is the large bottle suited to, and who needs advice first?
Adults who want this citrus aroma for diffusion or for a carefully diluted topical preparation are the intended users. Anyone who is pregnant or lactating is told to check with a practitioner first, and the bottle must stay out of children's reach.
How do the label directions apply to the 118ml bottle?
Treat it as an aromatherapy oil and add the drops you need to a diffuser. For a topical preparation, measure out a small amount and dilute it in olive or almond carrier oil before checking a professional reference for the correct ratio; the 118ml size simply gives more of the same oil.
Which cautions appear on the label?
Keep the bottle away from children's reach, avoid eye contact, and consult a practitioner before using it while pregnant or lactating. The label also marks it as not for internal use and notes that natural essential oils are highly concentrated and need care. This product is for topical or aromatic use. It is not a medicine and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
How should the 118ml bottle be stored?
Recap the bottle immediately after pouring to slow oxidation and leave it in its original container at room temperature. Keep it clear of stovetop cupboards, sunny spots and bathrooms where humidity is high.
What blend guidance is printed on the large pack?
The label's Summer Fun diffuser recipe uses 1 drop each of lavender oil, peppermint oil and grapefruit oil. No other pairing guidance is printed on this large pack.
