What is this product?
NOW Foods Chitosan is a US original import weight management supplement. Chitosan is a polysaccharide derived from the shells of crustaceans that can bind to fat and cholesterol in the digestive tract. This formula features LipoSan ULTRA®, a unique high-density form of chitosan that, in laboratory testing, binds up to five times more fat than conventional chitosan. The bottle contains 240 veg capsules.
What are the key ingredients and their benefits?
Each 3-capsule serving provides 1,500mg of LipoSan ULTRA® chitosan plus 300mcg of chromium (from chromium nicotinate glycinate, TRAACS®). A clinical study has demonstrated that LipoSan ULTRA®, taken as directed, may assist in weight management when combined with a sensible diet and exercise program.
Who is this product suitable for?
Suitable for adults following a weight management program who want supplemental support alongside a sensible diet and regular exercise. Not suitable for those with shellfish allergy — this product contains shellfish (shrimp).
How should I take it?
Take 3 capsules immediately before the 2 main meals of the day. Do not exceed 6 capsules per day. Take in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise program. Take at least 4 hours before or after fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) or medications.
